Even after 26 years, eight albums, and around 2,000 concerts, the four Swedish skate punks of Millencolin have not grown tired of delighting their fan base. The ninth studio album, “SOS,” follows the full-length album “True Brew,” which Millencolin released in 2015 and followed up with an EP of the same name in February 2016. On these releases, the Melodycore veterans, who were formed in 1992, attracted attention not least because of their socially critical stance. The album title, the cover artwork, and song titles such as “Dramatic Planet,” “Trumpets & Poutine,” and “So You Want War” underline the fact that the four Swedes continue to move forward undeterred while reflecting on political and social developments. In short: Millencolin are still a force to be reckoned with!
