This Wild Life has already lived several lives. In their hometown of Long Beach, California, drummers Kevin Jordan and Anthony Del Grosso came together in 2010 after both had been kicked out of their respective bands. They formed This Wild Life and played what they had always wanted to make: punk rock.
At the very beginning of the writing process for their third record, Petaluma, they made the decision to create music that would be brighter and more upbeat. They limited the arrangements to live-played instruments, opening the door to what would become their most honest songs to date.
