Mefisto Brass are a “Lung-Powered Sound System.”

The group, with the lineup of a street band, draws from the typical sounds of electronic music, reshaping and adapting them to an ensemble made up exclusively of brass and percussion instruments.

The project was born in 2019 in Milan and, with a repertoire of original pieces, quickly entered first the Milanese scene and then the Italian scene as well, thanks to an intense activity of busking and street performances.

Since their debut, driven by the explosive energy of their live show, Mefisto have collected more than 240 performances in venues, concert halls, and festivals across Italy and Europe.

Over the years, they have collaborated with artists such as Inoki and Tonino Carotone, among others.

In 2020 Mefisto released their first EP, Amhardcore, and in March 2024 their first album Totem came out. The album led them to carry out a tour of around 80 dates (in 2024 alone) across eight countries, concluding with three sold-out shows at Circolo Biko in Milan—an institution and key reference point for independent music in the city.

In 2025 they continued their live activity, and their collaboration with Tube Agency (Italy) and Swap Music Agency (France) led them to perform more than 40 shows, taking the stage at major events such as Time in Jazz (artistic direction by Paolo Fresu), Men/Go Festival, Magnolia, L’Umbria che Spacca, Largo Venue, Locomotiv Club, and Festival du Bout du Monde (France).

They are currently working on their next record.
